Chief Jason Armstrong is a retired police chief who served communities in Georgia, Missouri and North Carolina. His award-winning approach to leadership and community engagement has impacted thousands across the country. Chief Armstrong gained national recognition when he was appointed police chief in Ferguson, Missouri, five years after the police killing of Michael Brown Jr. He is one of the nation’s most trusted voices in building bridges between law enforcement and the communities they serve. As the CEO of Armstrong Consulting, LLC, he travels the world speaking and consulting with government agencies, corporations, associations and community groups to further his mission of leading positive change through intentional leadership.

Jason P. Armstrong is a retired police chief and nationally recognized leader with over two decades of experience driving transformative change in law enforcement and beyond. Known for his award-winning leadership and commitment to community engagement, Jason gained national recognition as Police Chief in Ferguson, Missouri, five years after the police killing of Michael Brown Jr., where he worked to rebuild trust and drive meaningful reform. His contributions to law enforcement earned him induction into the National Law Enforcement Officer Hall of Fame.

Jason’s accolades include the 40 Under 40 Award from the International Association of Chiefs of Police and North Carolina Central University, as well as the Distinguished Alumnus in Public Service Award from Columbus State University. He holds a Master’s in Public Safety Administration, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice, and is a graduate of the inaugural Obama Foundation USA Leaders program.
