He also served on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Association of Chiefs of Police, Special Olympics North Carolina, the Executive Board for the North Carolina Police Executives Association, UNC-Chapel Hill's Criminal Justice Innovation Lab's Advisory Board and the North Carolina League of Municipalities' Police Chief Advisory Board.
